The ertacetal polymer (plastic)Â washer is installed on the rudder system of your catamaran. It reduces rudder rotation friction for greater maneuverability aboard your cruiser or long-distance cruiser. This replacement part is available in several sizes, depending on your boat model.

The plastic (ertacetal) friction washer plays an essential role at the heart of your catamaran’s rudder mechanism. Its role is to attenuate friction when the rudder rotates, providing safe, reliable movement of your cruiser or long-distance cruiser.
Its ertacetal polymer construction makes it suitable for use at sea. What’s more, the smooth surface ensures smooth, safe movement during navigation.
