Lazy bag for Excess 14 Incidence Sails

The Incidence Sails Lazy bag for Excess 14 is a protective cover specifically designed to facilitate the storage and protection of your catamaran’s mainsail. It surrounds the sail when it is lowered and helps protect it from external conditions while making sail handling and storage easier on board.

Designed to withstand the marine environment, this Lazy bag for Excess 14 helps protect the mainsail from UV rays, sea spray, moisture and chafing. It provides a practical solution for protecting your sail both during periods of use and while it remains stored on the rig.

Two materials are available to meet different onboard requirements: Sunbrella® acrylic or reinforced polyester.

Sunbrella® acrylic lazy bag

The Sunbrella® acrylic version is designed for long-term outdoor use. This fabric provides excellent resistance to UV rays and marine conditions. Thanks to its breathable properties, acrylic promotes air circulation and moisture evaporation, helping to reduce the risk of mould around the mainsail. The fabric is also reinforced with transparent PVC, providing additional protection against the stresses and wear associated with regular use on board.

Reinforced polyester lazy bag

The reinforced polyester version focuses on mechanical strength and durability. It is particularly suitable for the stresses caused by chafing, rubbing and abrasion during sail handling and storage. It also offers good UV resistance and a degree of elasticity. Easy to maintain, it provides a robust solution for regular use on board. However, polyester is less breathable than Sunbrella® acrylic.

Colours and customisation

Several colours are available, allowing you to match the Lazy Bag to the appearance of your Excess 14. Please indicate your preferred colour by referring to the colour chart.
A custom marking option is also available at an additional cost.
