Lewmar Low Profile hatch Seal

Over time, the seals on Lewmar deck hatches can deteriorate due to exposure to UV rays, salt, moisture and temperature variations. A worn seal can lead to a loss of watertightness and allow water or moisture to enter your catamaran or sailboat.

The Lewmar Low Profile hatch seal allows you to easily restore the watertightness of your deck hatches. Available in 5 m or 10 m rolls, the seal can be cut to length and glued to fit the dimensions of your hatch.

Designed for use in a marine environment, this seal helps restore effective watertightness while extending the service life of your deck hatches.

Installation and Maintenance Advice:

When ordering a seal by the metre, please make sure to carefully measure the required length of seal for your hatch. Cut the seal straight and cleanly, then join the two ends using a cyanoacrylate adhesive (super glue).

When installing the seal, remember to make a small ventilation hole in the seal, in accordance with Lewmar’s recommendations. For Low Profie / Medium Orofile hatches, please follow the installation recommendations provided in the attached document.

Maintenance tip: to help extend the life of the seal and reduce friction, especially around the hinges, we recommend regularly applying a small amount of silicone grease to the seal.
