The Downwind Sail Cruising Asymmetrical Spi Delta Voiles is designed to optimize performance between 70° and 150° apparent wind angles, for true wind conditions ranging from 5 to 20 knots. Built for efficiency and power, this downwind sail requires foredeck access for hoisting and dousing. Delta Voile manufactures it using Contender nylon: 0.9 oz (45 g) fabric for sails up to 80 m², and 1.5 oz (65 g) for larger surfaces. This lightweight fabric offers excellent wind resistance while maintaining shape. All three corners tack, clew, and head are reinforced with large star-shaped patches to evenly absorb loads. Finally, webbed rings on the head allow for easy installation and handling on board.
Designed for cruisers and comfort-minded sailors, this Cruising sail is made from durable materials such as Dacron or cruise-grade laminates. It offers excellent shape retention, easy use, and high reliability on all points of sail. Ideal for both coastal and offshore cruising programs.
