Matt Chem’s Stopo saturator is a colorless water-repellent solution designed to protect teak and other exterior or interior woods against moisture, grease and marine aggression. It significantly reduces the wood’s capacity to absorb water, preventing swelling, warping and greasy stains.
Its pearlizing effect appears as early as 30 minutes after application, with maximum protection reached in 48 hours. Complying with ASTM D. 446, this product provides a clean, natural finish without altering the color of the wood.
It is easily applied with a brush or deck broom. One or two coats are sufficient (allow 30 minutes drying time between coats). Estimated yield is 15 m² per liter for one coat. More coats can be applied, but the gain in protection becomes slight after two coats.
