The Harken electric Self-Tailing radial aluminum winch is designed to offer a perfect compromise between grip and rope protection thanks to its patented diagonal ribs. This compact model, 6 kg without motor and powerful integrates an electric motorization with two speeds, optimizing the management of the loads under tension. Easy to maintain and install, with 5 fixing points, it’s ideal for manoeuvring your yacht. This winch accepts a maximum Ø 14 mm rope. What’s more, it has needle roller bearings and bearings made from high-strength composite material to limit friction under load.
The Harken electric Self-Tailing Radial aluminum winch is a benchmark in performance and ergonomics for yachtsmen and sailors. Thanks to its patented diagonal rib system, it holds the rope firmly without damaging it, guaranteeing excellent performance under load and significantly reducing sheet wear.
Its compact, optimised design allows it to withstand high loads while keeping its weight down – up to 50% lighter than conventional winches. Its needle bearing system and high-strength composite bearings minimise friction, making manoeuvres smoother and reducing the effort required to engage the winch.
The integrated electric motor attaches directly to the winch’s central shaft, using the existing gearing to maximise energy efficiency. With its two mechanical gears, it allows rapid engagement with no load in first gear and precise adjustment under load in second gear. What’s more, the system optimises battery consumption, avoiding unnecessary overloads.
Installation and maintenance are made easy by a design that makes it simple to operate, even by a single person. In the event of a power failure, a manual mode takes over via a Harken locking crank, offering extra safety when sailing.
